MADALYN BAVARO
Madalyn Bavaro is a criminal defence lawyer based in Toronto. She focuses on defending individuals who have been charged with firearm and drug related crimes. She believes in holding the state accountable which often means advancing arguments about racial profiling and illegal searches by state authorities.
Madalyn also has a dedicated interest in defending young people (aged 12 to 17) charged under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
ABOUT ME
Madalyn decided she wanted to become a criminal defence lawyer when she was sixteen. She received an Honours Degree in Criminology from York University in 2013. She then attended the Faculty of Law at the University of Windsor where she completed numerous courses in criminal law. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 2019. Prior to starting her own law firm, Madalyn worked for reputable trial and appeal lawyers who taught her how to strategize and approach each case.
To Madalyn, defending her clients is a privilege. She cares about their lives and what led them to become entangled in the justice system. As a result, Madalyn is committed to providing the best possible defence to every one of her clients. She works to ensure that their voices are heard and that their lives will not be forever negatively impacted.
